The retail center required major renovations not only to update aesthetics, but to stay competitive in today’s market.
In this New England styled plaza, you will find 7,580 sf of retail space, a 2,500 sf coffee shop with drive-through, and a 2,500 sf outparcel building housing a branch of East Boston Savings Bank. The buildings pay homage to The Ship, which has been a staple along Route 1 since the 1930s. To do so, a similar red, white, and gold accent color scheme was employed, and the original restaurant’s masts remain a focal point of the design.
