Business Development Manager - Cary, NC

We are searching for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to direct and coordinate the firm’s business development efforts in our Cary, NC office. This individual will optimize exposure to new business prospects, aligning with the firm’s goals and objectives. They will also create and execute effective sales initiatives and promotional programs with the Director of Business Development, while working closely with Principals and Project Managers to remain on task with the sales strategy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing sales strategies by working closely with the Director of Business Development. 
  • Work closely with Principals and Project Managers to remain on task with the sales strategy. 
  • Conducting market research to identify new business development opportunities and trends. 
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers/current clients via email, phone, and in-person. 
  • Assists in the development, management, and implementation of a focused marketing campaign, 
  • Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences. 
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients. 
  • Writing and distributing agendas, proposals, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings. 
  • Managing and working within the CRM system. 
  • Creating and maintaining client databases and mail lists. 
  • Tracking submitted proposals and providing feedback to management. 
  • Providing effect administrative support to the Principals and Project Managers. 
  • Understands market trends and how they relate to firm business lines, identifies potential clients/ potential projects, and assists in pursuits/ project award.

Candidate qualifications include:

  • Must be highly proficient in Hubspot, Adobe Products, CMAP, and other firm-utilized software and online systems, and possess a working knowledge of Word & Excel, and Photoshop. 
  • Membership/ participation in industry-focused organizations/ events is required. 
  • Must actively participate in Phase Zero Design’s mentorship program, encourage staff to seek licensure, and participate in marketing and business development activities. 
  • Professional degree in Marketing/Business Development from an accredited institution with 5-8 years of experience.
